Cat Bag
You can make a sweet cat coin purse with a clip frame closure. Good for some little secrets to carry?
The finished bag has all hidden seams and looks pretty from both sides. At the front side a cat is smiling at you. On the back side is, of course, the cats tail.
The Cat bag purse is made in the hoop with the exception of one seam that has to be done with the sewing machine. The clip frame can be either glued or sewn on, depending on the frame you have.
You need a hoop at least 13 x 18 cm (5x7") for this project.
You will need:
- embroidery thread
- tear away stabilizer
- rests of wool or textile felt 0,5 - 1 mm thick
- cotton fabrics
- purse clip frame 4,5 x 8 cm
- batting 0,5 cm thick
- optionally some freezer paper to help transfer and cut the felt pieces
For this bag we used the frame “Linda” from Prym. Should you use another frame, make sure that the frame is half- round, 4,5 cm high and 8 cm wide.
